Recently I had an opportunity to participate in my friend Ellyn’s stamp camp event who is a Stampin’ Up! (SU) representative. As I have certainly purchased SU items of late, it had been several years since I attended one of the camps and I have to say it was a lot of fun. In addition to spending the afternoon with a great group of ladies, I got to play with paper, dies, embossing folders, ink … you name it. I also learned how to make my own ink mist by filling an empty spray/spritz bottle with rubbing alcohol and adding a few drops of Tsukineko All Purpose Ink, we used #72 Frost White. Shake well and spray the mist lightly onto cardstock and allow to dry, which is quite fast, and you end up with a shimmery finish that stays put. After all was said and done, I left with ten gorgeous Christmas cards (three designs) that has provided a jumpstart to my holiday preparations.
I hope you will find inspiration in the day and create something wonderful to share with your family and friends, Happy World Card Making Day!
